Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Liberty Food Market at (610) 437-7281; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 97 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian grocery store in Allentown and suggests consistent service.

Allentown is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Allentown follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was shopping for ingredients for a family celebration and found everything I needed in one place. The selection was better than expected, especially in the fresh food departments. Saving time by avoiding multiple stores was a huge advantage and made planning much easier.

On October 10 2025, SNAP benefits were loaded onto my card — and within roughly three hours, four unauthorized purchases were made in three different states, all in the early morning hours (around 3:22 AM), none of which I made. • 03:22:02 AM — $84.44 at Aaron’s Corner, 1251 Rev James A Polite Ave, Bronx, NY 10459 • 03:22:16 AM — $64.78 at Liberty Food Market, 448 N 10th St, Allentown, PA 18102 • 03:22:30 AM — $85.49 at Food Universe Marketplace, 773 New Lots Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11208 • 03:22:44 AM — $63.29 at Rodriguez Family Grocery, 224 S Orange Ave, Newark, NJ 07103 The total routed distance between these locations is approximately 240+ miles over three states — obviously I could not have made these transactions. Importantly, all of them occurred at 3 a.m., a time when these storefronts are typically not operating for customer purchases. I’m sharing this to raise awareness of how SNAP/EBT fraud can happen across multiple locations rapidly, and to encourage others to monitor their benefit accounts closely. If you receive your benefits and see suspicious activity shortly after, please contact your local SNAP fraud unit immediately.
